A Feminist Peace: How Do We Get There? The Hanna’s House Summer School will be a vibrant, colourful and inspiring event for women. It will combine both a deep exploration of the key issues raised through our series of peacebuilding seminars (2008-10) with a rich cultural and social engagement. It is envisioned that connections between diverse communities of women will be created throughout the three days and that an organic cross-learning process will develop. It is hoped that this will lead to future projects that will support a critical feminist analysis of women’s role in peace building across all spheres (for example, within intimate, family and community relationships, as well public and professional relationships, and including women’s role in cross-community, bi-lateral and international peace negotiations). The opportunity to develop new insights, knowledge and networks, as a result of dialogue and debate, will help to empower women and support their access into decision making and leadership roles in Irish society.
