Thursday, 05 August 2010

The Liberian group are part of a cross learning experience on the role of women in conflict. Organised by the Irish government, issues discussed by the group included the roles of women in mediation, in policing, in economic reconstruction. In the workshop that will take place on Saturday 28th August, participants will recount some of the key lessons learned in their discussions with delegates from Liberia and Timor Leste. The workshop will hopefully help to highlight what the key lessons are for Northern Ireland in the ongoing task of working to ensure gender parity and gender sensitive policy making.
